TEND POPSICLES, SLUSHIES & CUBES

Tend is my “go-to” blend for summers outside and by the pool. Tend has a fruity finish that pairs well with crushed berries, slices of mango and fresh herbs. It also has an incredible blend of ingredients that help the body stay hydrated and bathing suit ready at all times. Here are some of my favorite tips for a Summer with Tend.

Tend Popsicles

I was the kid who always had a popsicle — from Big Sticks to Bomb Pops. Silicon popsicle molds have made these treats easy and fun to make. Nothing is more refreshing than a popsicle by the pool — and even better to reduce the sugar and keep it healthy. I like to sweeten Tend with sugar or Agave nectar and add chopped or crushed berries into the mold. Sometimes I get creative and make stripes with ingredients — just remember to freeze the different layers as you go. Simply fill the mold and freeze — remember to add the sticks!

Tend Slushies

Even easier than popsicles! I keep my slushy cups in the freezer at all times (right next to my ice cream maker). The trick is to make sure that you combine a sweetener into your tea prior to pouring it into the slushy cup. If you pour straight tea — without sweetener or fruit — it will freeze like an ic cube rather than a slushy. Yep — found out the hard way. For an “adult” slushy — sweeten with Agave, add a shot of vodka, rum, gin or tequila — and add some fresh berries. Heaven!

Tend Ice Cubes

One of the challenges when enjoying iced tea on a hot day is that your ice melts and waters down your tall glass of tea. Make batches of ice cubes with tea! I like to add fresh herbs or berries to the ice cubes to infuse my glass of iced tea with wonderful flavors from start to finish. Create!
